January 18 Christmas Eve party and Christmas DayWe had a great time at the annual Wenzbauer party having dinner and watching the guys dance and then opening gifts and seeing the boys get some fun toys and then talking to everyone till it got late. It was so much fun even if Cam was sick he still had a great time playing around and I think Brady had even better time playing with his older cousins. Then the next day we all got up and opened gifts and the boys got a few fun things like the kitchen and keyboard, mickey mouse and we just stayed home and play the day with the boys and then had a nice turkey dinner as a family. It was a great Christmas for all of us. December 14 Cam's birthday/ winter timeWell, Cameron turned 2 on the 15th of Nov. and we had a family and my side of the family all came over to have a big party which the boys had a good time. Then snow finally came and Brady wanted to play outside so he did with Daddy and us a few times. We also redid Cameron's room for his birthday in Curious George room theme which turned out cute and he likes alot. Then this year Cam has his own tree just like Brady. November 02 Halloween 2007This year Brady was a fire fighter for Halloween, while Cameron was a Mickey Mouse. The boys really like the holiday decorations, and particularly the lights. They both got a lot of candy on Halloween, though mom might eat more of it than they do! Summer and Fall 2007Here’s some pictures from summer 2007 of the boys. Brady turned 4 this past June and celebrated with a Balloon theme party. He and Cameron are having fun playing together. Brady started pre-school in September and is enjoying it. Cameron is talking more now and runs all over the house, usually away from us. During the summer we finished our basement and took a trip to Las Vegas and Los Angeles. March 21 Winter 2007Spring is finally coming, so here is an update with pictures from Winter 2006-2007. The boys had a fun Christmas with lots of presents and visits with family. With January came the obligatory illnesses running through the house, but fortunately this year nothing major afflicted either of the boys. Cameron finally got some teeth in February, and is very close to walking now. Brady is still fascinated with trains and recently got a new sandbox to play in this summer. November 27 Cameron's bday partyWe celebrated Cam's first birthday on November 11th. We had a Curious George theme party for him, including cake and decorations. Family from both sides showed up and had a good time with cake and lunch. Cameron got all sorts of cars, books, a riding toy, a talking bunny and a telephone among other things. Despite these toys and food, Cam was fussy most of the time! A couple of days later we took Cam to Burger King for a kids meal and a Curious George ornament, and later more cake, which he quite enjoyed. October 31 October 2006October brought us a trip to Gateway Mall with Grandma (who has moved back from Iowa) and rode the Trax train. Later in October we went to a local pumpkin patch for a hay ride and pumpkins for Halloween. Finally, for Halloween Cameron dressed up as a lion (his first Halloween) and Brady dressed as a Train Conductor (or "Train Master" as he calls it). September 2006September saw a visit from Great Grandma and Aunt Jean, with whom we took a trip to the jungle gym with. Later in the month we took a train ride on the Heber Railroad. Brady dressed up in his train conductor outfit and thoroughly enjoyed his first full-size train ride with Nana and Papa Wenzbauer. We finished (mostly) our remodeled bedroom as well in September. September 08 Summer 2006Summer is almost over and we have doen lot around the hous like paint our bedroom and put noew decor up. Brady just loves watching Thomas and playing with his new thomas trains. We have started potty training and it going better now then it was at first. In a few weeks we will be riding the Heber valley train which Brady is so excited. We still play trains all the time and go outside for baseball and play in the dirt. Cameron is rolling every where and can't seem to all ways find him at first but he loves to play with his toys and Brady 's to which doesn't make Brady happy. Just this past week he is trying to rock on his knees so i bet anytime he will be crawling everywhere which will be fun. He loves food and doesn't eat all the time baby food anymore. Cameron says baba lot too. It's just great being home with them to play and watch them grow. I just started this week schooling for Brady and he really likes it alot and wants to do more. I hope everone else is doing great and enjoy the rest of the summer. June 04 Spring 2006Well, it's been a busy spring for us and our boys. We're finally healthy for the most part, and the boys are both growing quickly. In March, Brady got his first train set, a Geo Trax, and he loves it. He plays with it every day, and now trains are all he talks about. In fact, his birthday party is going to be a train theme. In March, Cameron began making "raspberry noises" and thanks to some advice from Tabitha, he's now sleeping through the night.
In April Emily and I spent a night at a bed and breakfast called the Providence Inn in Providence, Utah. Grandma and Grandpa Fuller came out to watch the boys for that night. Shortly after that was Easter, and Brady and Cameron both went and saw the Easter bunny which they loved. Late in April we went to the zoo, and Brady got to see some real life alligators and buy some alligator toys. April also saw Brady make his first trip to the dentist with daddy, and Brady did great, sitting in the chair for the dentist and letting him look and touch his teeth.
By May, Cameron is now starting to sit up more on his own. His great grandmother came to visit and Brady and Cameron both did great with her. Cameron also got his first walker in May and is doing well with it, even moving forward already, and he also recently rolled over for the first time. We took the boys to the Union Station in Ogden to see the trains, which obviously Brady loved. We're working on potty-training with Brady, with moderate success and in June he begins his swimming lessons.
March 01 February 2006February has come and gone...another month of pictures of the two boys. Grandma came out early in the month and stayed a few days. Soon followed Valentine's Day, which Brady thoroughly enjoyed as Mommy decorated the house full of hearts (or as he calls them, "pee poos"). Brady also got a train from Mommy which he plays with all the time. Cameron continues to grow, eat everything in site and laughs often now. He ate his first baby food recently and is doing much better with the RSV than last month, and he even finally slept through the night for the first time this past week. Of course the following night he was up at 3am and 6am...we'll keep working on that! February 01 January 2006January was not a good month for us. Brady had caught a nasty cold just before New Years, and struggled with a hacking cough and runny nose for a week. By the time he was improving, mommy had caught the cold. Unfortunately, about the time mommy was getting over the cold, Cameron caught it, and it turned into a nasty case of RSV that we are still fighting as we go into February.
A lot of people think RSV is just another cold, but those are people who have never experienced it. RSV is similar to a cold, and may seem like nothing more than a cold in an older child, but in an infant Cameron's age (who has virtually no immune system at such age) it is a whole different ballgame. A two month old like Cameron with RSV struggles for breath at times, has a nagging hacking cough, a seemingly endless stuffy nose, all of which can throw their sleep and appetite completely out of whack. To put it into simple perspective, RSV kills more infants than any other cold or illness, so it's not to be taken lightly. Fortunately, Emily was well aware of RSV and we caught it early, but Cameron still needed to be hospitalized for one night, and is still contageous for several more weeks, and we consider ourselves lucky any night we get more than four hours of sleep. Doctors suggest keeping him home until probably April. Yes, it's miserable, but we don't wish to pass it to anyone, as we wouldn't wish this on any child or parent.
I would like to personally thank a couple of people for their help through this. Gary and Lynn have helped us out more times than I can count, I can't imagine what a pain this all would be without their availability, we will always appreciate how much you two have helped us. Melissa, our next door neighbor, also deserves a heck of a lot of praise, she's watched Brady several times and helped Emily so much, we appreciate it more than words can express. In time Cameron will be better and have a more normal life, but it's nice to have such great help in a time of need.
Now, on a lighter note, there were some funny moments in January. With the Super Bowl just days away, I have taken the opportunity to teach Brady to say "Steelers", "Seahawks", "Hasselbeck" and "Roethlisberger", and yes, he says Roethlisberger pretty clearly! He's still very into his cars, his vaccum, and his Care Bears, Caillou and Pooh videos. He has been great with Cameron, better than I'd have ever expected. With Valentines Day coming up, he's excited to hang up hearts (or as he calls them, PeePoos) around the house with mommy. Brady also lives for the garbage pickup on monday mornings, and will plow over anything in his path to get to the front window to see the truck. Brady loves Toy Story like no other, he watches the videos all the time, and is never far from his Buzz Lightyear cup.
Cameron, when feeling ok, is now smiling and cooing at his mommy and daddy. He loves his swing, holds his head very well now, and is 13 pounds and 7 ounces as of January 31. Photos of the boys in DecemberMany wonderful photos of our boys like Brady playing wiht his cars, ride the train with dad, Papa Wenzbauer and holding Cameron. Some of Carrie, Nana and Papa holding Cameron too. Then Mick's 33rd b-day with his sons. December 06 New photos of our cute boys in NovemberHere are some photos taking around the hosue and some of Brady out playing in the snow and playing with his pooh bears. We are enjoying every minute of our time with Cameron and Brady just loves to help out. He will try to feed Cameron and loves to hug and kiss him. Cameron is doing very well, besides eating like a pig he sleeps well and only wakes up once a night for a feeding. We are all excited about Christmas to see how Brady does this year with the new toys we bought him. Brady also has a nickname he calls Cameron which is "Tar" becuase he can't say Cameron yet so it's cute to hear him say it. November 16 Cameron's birthNovember 15, 2005 5:46pm 6 lbs 14 oz 19 inches
Both baby and mom are doing great! October 31 Carving pumpkin and trick or treatingHalloween 2005 - On saturday the 29th we carved Brady's pumpkin. Brady did not care for the insides of the pumpkin (much like his dad), but he did have fun drawing on the back of the pumpkin when we were done.
Monday night was trick or treating. Brady was anxious to get into his dragon costume, but after one house he didn't want to continue. We coaxed him into going to another house, but after that, despite the free candy, he threw quite the tantrum outside another house and wanted to go home. After a second attempt later also failed to win him over we called it a night, and Brady resorted to playing and watching his Pooh videos. October 18 S&S Shortline railroad museum on Sept. 24, 2005On Sep. 24, 2005 Nana and Papa Fuller and Brady, dad and mom went to S&S Shortline railroad museum to take Brady on his first train ride. We went on the big train which was ok and then on the little train which Brady liked a lot becuase he got to sit by himself and loved going through the tunnels. They had a very cute museum to look though and by the end Brady fell alseep on the car ride home. Cameron's new roomHere are a few photos of Cameron's new room which the theme is Winnie the Pooh. I really enjoyed putting up the stickers and painting the letters. Of course now Brady's favorite charater is Winnie the Pooh so everything that has Pooh on it he wants and would love to take all things from Cameron's room if there Pooh on it. So, Mick and I gave him our old Pooh bears from when we were kids to keep in his room. September 27 Snowbird TripOn Labor Day weekend we took Brady for his first tram ride to the top of Hidden Peak at Snowbird. He enjoyed playing with the rocks. After that we went to Octoberfest and hung out for a while. |
